5) We are waiting to b presented with clubmark and we will put the event on the web site, also we are waiting to here from sport England about funding one of our clubs projects.

6) Fartown Meeting
Fixtures: Fixtures: Fixtures secretary now Richard Turner & Donna Sladdin.
All friendly fixtures to be asked for in writing by club fixtures secretary and approved by the league fixtures secretary in writing before the game takes place.
New referees assessment forms collect from Carole
Referees will be allocated to15s up first
All results to be in before 4.00 Richard Turner will be at the phone from 3.00

1) Minutes June Approved
Attended: Malcolm Lockett, CaroleLockett , Nicola Widdup, David Widdup, Judith Eaton , Donna Hernandez, Jose Hernandez.


2) Alan Breakwell will help with coaching the u8s until the new coach has past their mini mod course. We are not registering an under 11s team unless we get enough players by September.
If by September we have not got enough players to register an u 11s team the remaining players
will have to play up one year in the u12s.


3) We are going to advertise in the Rochdale Observer and the Todmorden News From 31st July for four weeks, The advertisement will be for players , coaches volunteers etc.


4) Scrum hats, We are ordering 20 new scrum hats for new players.
We agreed to keep the rule scrum hats must be worn for training and matches so if parents want
their child to play without a scrum hat they will have to sign to give permission for them to play
without one .


5) Rushbearing ,the rushbearing festival is on the 25th July if you can help please let me know.

1)The presentation of club mark should take place at Rochdale Hornets on the 5th September.

2)We are applying to the Pennine grant fund for the money for our new pitch .

3)The new pitch is for Junior use and the open age can use it occasionally when they are stuck.

4)Sandra & Allan Breakwell have had some leaflets printed to try and recruit players for the u 11s,it was suggested other teams could do this if anyone would like to have any leaflets printed and hand them out come and see me we will sort it out.
We are holding another come and try it day on Saturday to try and recruit players for all age groups.
We could realy do with someone to do the club advertising.

Other Matters

The rushbearing festival earned us £72.00 not bad to say it was raining.

Grand final deposits or full payments needed.

Sat 6th November Fireworks etc Cricket club more info to follow.

It was suggested that the u 14s would not like to wear a kit with Sues Shoes on it.

Attended: Malcolm Lockett, Carole Lockett, David Widdup, Steve Veevers, Judith Eaton, Andrew Nutter, Sandra Breakwell , Alan Breakwell, Susan Varney, J Varney.

1) Sandra Breakwell is the new fixture secretary, fixture lists were passed out and rules for games .

2) Unfortunately we have had to disband the U11s due to lack of players.

The U8s need players to get of the ground they only have four players at the moment. We suggested going into schools and doing tag Rugby festival and we would provide the school with a trophy annually as a recruitment drive. We are going to try it at U7s age group first to try and get the team started. We will ask karl Richards for help with this project. Also we could call it the Jimmy Whipp Award
To do a recruitment drive in Todmorden Park put an advertisement in local paper and sports centre and do a two hour training lessen Date to be arranged.

3)We have Clubmark accreditation we are waiting to be presented with it, we think on the 10th October.

4) Posts on order not here yet, ask community campus for post protectors and flags. Suggestion get observer down and have photo taken are our posts.

5)Fundraising ideas: To have a celebration party celebrating our club mark and ask some super league rugby players if they would attend.

Other matters :Grand final ticket money needed if payment is not received before Friday 10th September you may loose your tickets.U14s New Kit will now have the sponsor Middleton Blinds ,I have asked Nicky to see if Sues shoes would sponsor polo shirts for u14 and u12s instead of the kit.

1. Clubmark -WE where presented with the Clubmark accreditation at the Widnes Rugby League playoffs unfortunately only 6of us could go so we are trying to arrange a presentation for the club.
2. Fixtures Sandra Breakwell Has resigned so Carole Lockett is the new fixtures Secretary.
Unfortunately the u12 s & u14s fixtures are going to be changed Monthly.

3. Pitches- our pitch has not been marked out yet the posts are now here but they are not up .There is a meeting on Wednesday we will see what they say and if we are not getting our new pitch we will be going to the Observer etc.
4. Pennine Grant -We have been awarded £900.00 to pay for the pitches being change round this is a wonderful help so thanks goes to them.
5. West riding youth meeting - Not allot concerning us apart from the fines.

1.Advertising:Carole Lockett Printed aprox 500 to 600 leaflets out for schools in the Littleborough and Milnrow area and asked if they would distribute to the pupils for us, Elaine Veevers delivered them to all the Schools . We thought about also doing the Shaw Whitworth and Wardle areas first in the Primery Schools as we have had some response .We could do with a volunteer for this


2.Pitches: As most of you know our new pitch is now ready, concerns have been noted about the try area being to small we are going to ask if it could be extended if needed.


3.Voulenteers: We asked for some jobs to be filled and perhaps to advertise for some help.
Robert Mchugh will attend West Riding League meetings in Sue Varneys absence,
Geff Colbrook will do a first aid course for U14s
Maxine Campbell for U10s
We need someone for U8s

4.Xmas Party: U14 to decide if they would still like to go to the Xmas party or would like to go bowling instead or do both and have the bowling trip as a day out for u14s.
It was agreed to get the selection boxes again from the co-op with the staff discount.
We need prizes for the games and raffle prizes for the Xmas party also Please bring food with you on the night.Xmas party Sat 11th December.

1)Xmas party :The U 14s have decided to go bowling instead of going to the Xmas party this year as they are getting older, the club has still given them their selection boxes, also we asked everyone at the meeting to remind people about the Xmas party and to bring some food with them.

2)Sports association meeting : over the next 5 years the council are going to spend a lot of money on the sports centre at Littleborough community campus, The money will be spent on another car park , inside outside décor ,changing rooms refurbished, flood lighting for the Tennis court ,drop in centre -café etc.
At the Sports association we decided to use our lottery bid to put in for resurfacing the all weather pitch with astro turf, instead of using the money to provide one on the old tennis courts, the football are going to try to raise match funding witch reduce our bid and take us up the list ,also the school could try and put a bid in. I am sending an estimated usage for the astro pitch to David Paverlty and he is collating the findings from everyone at the association so the usage of the astro pitch can be presented collectively. The usage I am estimating is over the next two years approximately 14 - 16 hours per week 7 teams two hours training per week.
Inquiries into Pennine funding for fencing etc are being made.
Dog doo bins are to be provided .

3)West riding league meeting ;
1 Scarborough festival -awaiting barla sanction .
2 National cup; not entering as unfulfilled fixtures are £500.00
3 Pitch sizes were discussed as some clubs pitches are not standard but it was impossible to change them.
4 Rita Turner is now West Riding Secretary-Letters to be done by the Chairman.
5 Management is not to publish the scores of mini mod games.
6 New fixtures for 8- 10 s.
7 Fixtures for the West Riding Cup out shortly.
8 U 14s new club from Yorkshire voted in to West Riding League Dewsbury, other Teams may follow.

Money for Chinese to be In before Xmas .
Rugby first aid courses may be available next Year £20.00 each if you can get 12 people they will do them at your club Tel 07768 600063
Ivan still needs some balls and cones Robert Rigby asking Steve Veevers.
Steve Bostock said he herd that every Barla club will get two free Rugby balls .

Thursday 10th February

1.the under 8s Have been invited to do a curtain raiser for Bradford Bulls ,Date unknown yet. All the players and any other children attending this match will be admited free adult tickets will be £12.00 ,we will let you know the date later for number of tickets required .

2.Presentation night try to arrange for 6th or 13th of May.
Xmas party 2005 The U 14s &12s will go bowling the club will pay for the Players bowling.
U10s &u8s will have a party at the cricket club ether joint with the Football or on their own in the lounge at the club.

3.Sports association meeting Some of the sports association members are seeing into Grants to fencing of the fields and putting a gate near the tree also a ramp for disabled access, hopefully this will help keep of bikes horses etc, also dog litter bins.
The next sports meeting will be to sort out a development plan for the association.

We did not win an award but it was an enjoyable evening ,
Judith Eatons Dad won a well deserved award for Special recognition in Sport and will go to Represent Rochdale in the Manchester Awards .

5.West Riding League Meeting
Some league games may have to be played as a double header, child protection issues were raised .Frozen pitches etc it was suggested later kick off times may help as long as results were in for 3.00am.

Other Matters

Merchandising : We are going to try and do a survey to see what sort of merchandise people are interested in .

Training; We are thinking of vidioing the u14s matches and doing a mid week training night and playing back the vidio recording of the previous Sundays match .
We voted on the12s upwards wearing shirt and ties and the younger players to wear polo shirts the vote was yes.
Steve Veevers suggested we give ties to the players when they sign on, Carole Lockett suggested if we do that to give the younger players the polo shirts .
Val Nutter Suggested giving the ties /shirts out on Presentation Night.

We need to see what we can do about Service area for the u14s .

We are going to organise a Dads and lads day again this year we need u14s dads and u12s dads to put their names down .

1.Presentation Night Date Voted on for the 27th May this will be the date of presentation night this season. Could everyone please bring food as usual and we would be grateful for raffle prizes.
Dads and Lads Day 23rd April U12s KO 2.00 p.m. U14s KO 3.00 p.m. .
Could dads Let Steve Veevers or Steve Bostock know if they are playing or not.Food will be on sale in cricket club and we will watch whatever Super League Game is on.

2.Three of the U 14s are on Salford service area ,three U 13s are on Rochdale service area also some U12s are on Rochdale Service area.
First Game Saturday 7th May.

3.Festival for u8s and 10s Sat 16th April At Illingworth ,U8s regester 9.30 U 10s 12.30 Good luck and have a good day.

4.West riding meeting Attended Sue varney: Matters arising:If held up over behind the line and not grounded it,the referee takes you back 5 meters.
If 10 meters of line and get a penalty,can do a tap or a kick for touch.( their had been problems with houses near a particular ground)

Barla have sent amended rules which the secretary will provide a copy if required.
Fixtures: Dident hand out League tables as results not accurate due to people not ringing in results.Will publishin League newspaper though will not be reliable.
Referees:A ref has been suspended.
Registration :Now more than 2,960 Players registered.

A O B :Wibsey and Siddle disrupted the meeting shouting about fixtures.Their proposal for a vote of no confidence in Fixtures management was amended by a proposal from Keighley Cougars, to thank the Fixtures Management . The amendment was carried by 22 votes to 2 and thus defeated the original proposal.
Bob the Referee secretary resigned after he had got into a shouting match with Wibsey and Siddle.

Barla Meeting Attended Robert Mchugh: The meeting was to ask clubs if they wanted to pull out of barla as other clubs had pulled out and still seem to get the same benefits. Our vote on this matter was agreed to stay with barla.

Other matters

Coaching we would like to bring to the attention of the club that coaching should be left to the qualified coaches and no parents should chastise the teams the coaches are quite able to tell the players were they went wrong or praise them for playing well ,you don't always have to win the game to do well.

Scrum hats if you are leaving the cllub could you hand your scrum hat in or pay for it.

Super League Grand final Tickets for Saturday 15th October 2005 £17.00 including coach fare,could you put your name down first come first served ,we also need £10.00 per ticket deposit.

Registration to be arranged ASAP may be July.

Karl Richards has managed to put some coaches in Littleborough schools also he has funding for us to start an after school club For U8s a new kit first aid bag etc.

Press Officer Robert Rigby is having a few problems with the Observer at the moment as the sports page has a new editor so there could be a few missed names etc,we are leaving the matter to him.

A few recruiting ideas may be do new leaflets and hand out in Todmorden Schools ,Maybe do something at Todmorden carnaval,Have a tag fun day in Todmorden park..

WEDNESDAY 14TH 2005

1.All subs, £2.50 as agreed AGM.

2.Funds, The cricket club are donating the money made on the Halloween party to the junior Rugby, We are joining with the open age and having a firework display and watch Great Britain V Australia match at the cricket club 5th November.

3.Recruitment, David Widdup has been in to Walsden School to help recruitment ,I am ringing Stansfield school and St Marys to see if we can recruit also Wardle High School.

4.Grand final tickets money to be in for Monday 19th September, tickets with no deposits can be sold.

West Riding meeting.U11s down will attend the co-ops festivals on Sunday the 18th September these matches are League fixtures.
A similar fixture will be held in May.
Permission slips are still needed for friendly matches.
U13s there is only one division this season ,Littleboroughs first game v Guisley .

Discipline Secretary want clubs vote on rule change, should both the offending club and the none offending club get fines for filling team sheet in incorrectly( yes both )(no only offender) our vote was no only offending club should be fined.

Thanks to Nicky Widdup finding a sponsor we have £750.00 for waterproof jackets for people re-registering to the club, the sponsor is A D C Services LTD.
